ZAR 75 Classic

Classic
Design & Layout

The ZAR 75 Classic is built around ZAR Formenti’s distinctive philosophy: maximum usable space from a compact hull length.

Key features include:

  • Large forward sunbathing area.

  • Spacious aft lounge/sunbed area.

  • Wide walkways and a very open deck layout.

  • Multiple integrated storage compartments.

  • Ergonomic central steering console.

  • Comfortable seating arrangement for cruising with family or friends.

Performance & Handling

The ZAR 75 Classic uses a long Deep-V hull designed to provide:

  • excellent directional stability;

  • a soft ride in waves;

  • confident cornering at speed;

  • good fuel efficiency for its size.

With a 250 hp outboard, the boat offers strong acceleration and comfortable cruising performance, while a 300 hp installation provides maximum sport-oriented capability.

Comfort & Equipment

Typical equipment and options include:

  • Hydraulic steering system.

  • Large sun decks.

  • Bimini or T-top options.

  • Navigation electronics.

  • Swim ladder and bathing accessories.

  • Freshwater shower option.

  • Teak-style deck finishes.

  • Audio systems and additional luxury fittings.

Classic vs Luxury Versions

The ZAR 75 Classic focuses on:

  • practicality,

  • versatility,

  • family cruising,

  • maximum deck space.

The Luxury versions add more refined finishes, premium upholstery, and additional comfort features for owners seeking a more yacht-like experience.

Ideal Use

The ZAR 75 Classic is particularly suited for:

  • coastal cruising;

  • island hopping;

  • family day trips;

  • diving and fishing excursions;

  • yacht tender duties;

  • water sports.

With its Italian styling, high-quality construction, and large interior volume, the ZAR 75 Classic competes with larger RIBs while remaining easy to handle and trailerable compared with many boats in the 8 m class.

Options

Factory options

The 75 has one of the most extensive option lists in the ZAR range.

1. Anchoring
Electric anchor windlass

Available as a complete factory installation with:

  • Electric motor

  • Cable/rope

  • Chain

  • Anchor

  • Controls at the helm

  • Additional control at the anchor locker

This would be one of my first options on a 75.

Other anchoring equipment
  • Auxiliary-engine bracket

  • Crane/lifting sling kit

2. Bow & seating options
Bow sun lounge
  • Bow sun-bed extension sections

  • Converts the forward area into a substantially larger sun lounge

Bow table
  • Complete bow table

  • Stainless-steel table leg

Suite conversion

The standard aft configuration can be converted to:

ZAR 75 Suite

  • U-shaped aft dinette

  • Rear table

  • Social seating arrangement

ZAR also offers a factory conversion kit and installation from the standard 75 to Suite.

3. Shade & weather protection

A major advantage of the 75 is the range of canopy options.

Available:

  • Stainless-steel roll/navigation bar

  • Three-arch Bimini/sunroof

  • Telescoping aft sun canopy for the roll bar

  • Forward extension for the telescoping canopy

  • Port and starboard side canopy extensions

  • Additional canopy sections for the bow sun lounge

  • Full night/transport cover

  • Console cover

  • Driver's-seat cover

The roll-bar installation can include:

  • Navigation lights

  • Anchor light

  • Horn

  • Wiring

4. Swimming & stern

Although the Luxury already includes the twin stern platforms, ZAR offers different platform configurations:

  • Port stern platform with folding/retractable ladder

  • Starboard stern platform

  • Versions suitable for single- or twin-engine installations

This is particularly useful if you are specifying a twin-outboard 75.

5. Comfort & cruising

Freshwater shower

Optional complete shower system with:

  • Pressure/autoclave pump

  • Freshwater tank

  • External filling point

  • External shower

  • Installation

Refrigerator
  • 12/24-V electric refrigerator

  • Dedicated refrigerator compartment

Camping
  • Nautical camping tent

The camping tent is particularly interesting on the 75 because ZAR describes it as effectively converting the boat into a small weekend/holiday nautical RV.

6. Deck finish
Flexi-teak

Available for:

  • Main cockpit

  • Stern/bathing platforms

  • Platform covers

  • Complete installation

This is one of the options I'd strongly consider on a Luxury 75 because it dramatically changes the appearance and perceived quality of the boat.

7. Watersports
Wakeboard package

Factory wakeboard kit including:

  • Wakeboard hardware

  • Reinforcing/counterplates

  • Installation hardware

8. Electronics & lighting

Available factory equipment includes:

  • Electrical switch panel

  • Navigation lights

  • Anchor light

  • Horn

  • Wiring

  • Searchlight/beacon mounted on the roll bar or console
